However, wellbeing during the pandemic has and should stay at the forefront of employers’ minds for their workforce.
Global expansion is always an exciting opportunity, but when it comes to setting up business entities, hiring employees, and getting payroll up and running, things can get complicated.
We therefore felt that some clarity around considerations that you, as employers, may need to take in relation to your employees and may assist you at the current time especially considering the rapid spread of the current virus variant.
So, while we all thought that as we rang out 2020 and embraced 2021 that our lives would return to some sort of normality – whatever the new normality looked like.
Technology, data security, and compliance will reshape global payroll in 2021.
The furlough scheme has been extended until the end of April 2021 with the government continuing to contribute 80% towards wages.
With much trepidation for everyone following the year that we have all experienced, it would be easy to forget the word Brexit and Free Movement amongst all of the news.
Global payroll has never been easy, but with so many changes to regulations, it has gotten way more complex in 2020.
Last night 1 December, HMRC issued a number of amendments to their on-line documents relating to furlough, mainly to remove out of date information relating to the scheme prior to 1 November.
