Black Mountain was Title Sponsor of the Hong Kong Hobie Club's ninth consecutive annual Asian Classic Regatta. The three-day event ran from Friday 24 October to Sunday 26 October and was held in waters off Tai Tam Bay, Hong Kong Island.

The 2003 event attracted 40 catamarans including international competitors from China, the Philippines, Thailand, South Africa and Australia. The local competitors had everything to race for as the highest placed local Hobie 16 sailor achieved a pre-qualification for the Hobie 16 World Championships to be held in Mexico May 2005.
